Dense fog blanketed several parts of the UAE on Tuesday morning, prompting authorities to issue red and yellow alerts and warn motorists to drive with extreme caution. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said visibility dropped significantly in many areas, affecting traffic and daily activities.
Speed limits were reduced on major roads in Abu Dhabi, with alerts sent to drivers via mobile notifications and electronic road signs. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority also urged motorists to follow safety guidelines and remain cautious until visibility improves. Authorities expect the fog to persist until around 9 a.m., with coastal and inland areas most affected.
Despite the foggy conditions, temperatures are forecast to rise during the day, with Dubai’s maximum temperature expected to reach around 29°C. Humidity levels are also likely to remain high through Wednesday morning, according to the latest weather updates.
