Dubai’s commercial transport sector recorded strong growth of more than 40% in 2025, with annual revenues reaching Dh8.4 billion, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The number of licensed companies rose from 12,100 in 2024 to 16,917, while registered vehicles surpassed 500,000.
Officials said the surge reflects investor confidence in Dubai’s economy and has been driven by digital transformation, smart services and the rapid growth of delivery platforms. The RTA’s logistics platform “Logisty” also won an international “Idea of the Year 2025” award.
New initiatives, including delivery driver rest areas, battery-swapping stations for bikes and plans for driverless trucks, are further strengthening Dubai’s position as a global logistics hub and supporting the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
