Al Ain will implement phased road closures on Saturday as the UAE Tour men’s cycling race travels from Al Ain Museum to Jabal Hafeet. Authorities said restrictions will be managed in stages to ensure rider safety while minimising disruption to motorists.
The first closure will take place from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm around Al Ain Museum, including Zayed bin Sultan Street and nearby internal roads. Further rolling closures will follow through central corridors, junctions and routes linking the museum area with Al Ain International Airport as the race progresses.
Traffic restrictions will continue across several neighbourhoods and major roads throughout the afternoon, including areas near Al Jimi, airport surroundings and residential districts. Drivers are advised to follow diversion signs, allow extra travel time and avoid race routes where possible.
Later in the day, closures will extend toward Zakir and Green Mubazzarah as cyclists approach Jabal Hafeet. The final phase will run from 3:55 pm to 5:00 pm along the mountain road leading to the finish line, with congestion expected near tourist areas and parks.
