Dubai RTA Joins International Bus Benchmarking Group

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has joined the International Bus Benchmarking Group, a global network that brings together leading public transport operators and authorities to improve bus services and operational performance.

With this move, RTA becomes the first public transport authority from the Middle East to join the international alliance.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency, described the membership as a major step toward Dubai’s vision of building one of the world’s most advanced smart and sustainable urban transport systems.

Through the partnership, RTA will gain access to global best practices, advanced technologies and data driven analytics used by leading transport systems worldwide. Officials said this will help improve operational efficiency, maintenance standards, punctuality and environmental sustainability within Dubai’s bus network.

The collaboration is also expected to support the adoption of cleaner energy technologies in bus fleets and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.

Authorities said the membership reflects international recognition of RTA’s efforts to develop a modern, data driven and sustainable transport system. The initiative is expected to further enhance passenger safety, service quality and convenience across Dubai’s public transport network.
