Sharjah: Sharjah Police has introduced a temporary initiative to provide free replacement of lost vehicle number plates for elderly residents and people with disabilities affected by recent adverse weather.
The three-day initiative, starting Sunday, March 29, allows eligible individuals to request the service by calling the police contact centre at 901, eliminating the need to visit service centres.
The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department will manage the entire process, including issuing, printing, and delivering the replacement plates directly to beneficiaries’ homes at no cost.
Authorities said the initiative reflects their commitment to offering flexible, community-focused services, especially during exceptional circumstances, while helping residents save time and effort.
Sharjah Police encouraged eligible residents to take advantage of the service, reaffirming their focus on improving service efficiency and enhancing quality of life through integrated and responsive solutions.
