Dubai: Four expatriates were injured after debris from a missile interception fell onto a residential area in southern Dubai, authorities confirmed.
Officials said the fragments came from the UAE’s air defence system while successfully countering a hostile threat. The injured individuals sustained minor injuries and received immediate first aid, with no serious concerns reported.
Some homes and properties in the area were damaged as a result of the falling debris.
Security forces and Civil Defence teams quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and take necessary safety measures. Authorities confirmed that response operations are ongoing.
Government sources stated that the country’s air defence system remains on high alert and continues to effectively counter potential threats.
