The United Arab Emirates is reassessing its security strategy and international alliances following the recent US Israel Iran conflict and subsequent ceasefire.
Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, said the review aims to identify reliable partners during times of crisis, particularly in light of recent Iranian attacks targeting the country.
He noted that while the ceasefire, which came into effect earlier this month, has provided temporary relief after 39 days of intense conflict, the UAE has already begun efforts to strengthen its defence capabilities and overall resilience.
Gargash emphasised that the country will take time to fully assess the lessons learned but is moving forward with a clear focus on enhancing national security and preparedness.
He also highlighted the importance of economic security and building strong, trustworthy regional and international relationships, adding that the UAE will continue to protect its development model while reinforcing its ability to withstand future challenges.
