Dubai\u2019s Roads and Transport Authority has joined the International Bus Benchmarking Group, a global network that brings together leading public transport operators and authorities to improve bus services and operational performance.<\/p>
With this move, RTA becomes the first public transport authority from the Middle East to join the international alliance.<\/p>
Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA\u2019s Public Transport Agency, described the membership as a major step toward Dubai\u2019s vision of building one of the world\u2019s most advanced smart and sustainable urban transport systems.<\/p>
Through the partnership, RTA will gain access to global best practices, advanced technologies and data driven analytics used by leading transport systems worldwide. Officials said this will help improve operational efficiency, maintenance standards, punctuality and environmental sustainability within Dubai\u2019s bus network.<\/p>
The collaboration is also expected to support the adoption of cleaner energy technologies in bus fleets and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.<\/p>
Authorities said the membership reflects international recognition of RTA\u2019s efforts to develop a modern, data driven and sustainable transport system.
