The project was revealed by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who confirmed completion is targeted for September 9, 2032.<\/p><p>The new line will connect 15 key areas across the emirate, linking rapidly growing residential and commercial zones. It is expected to directly benefit around 1.5 million residents and enhance access to 55 major real estate developments currently underway.<\/p><p>Designed with tunnels reaching depths of up to 40 metres, the Gold Line will significantly expand the city\u2019s metro infrastructure. Once completed, it will increase the total length of the Dubai Metro network by 25 percent, reinforcing Dubai\u2019s position as a leading global city for infrastructure and livability.<\/p><p>The route will run from Al Ghubaiba to Jumeirah Golf Estates, covering major districts such as Bur Dubai, Satwa, Meydan, Al Barsha South, Jumeirah Village Triangle, and Production City. It will integrate with existing Red and Green metro lines through multiple interchange stations.<\/p><p>The project is expected to handle up to 465,000 passengers daily by 2040, reflecting Dubai\u2019s growing population and rising demand for efficient public transport solutions.
