The government of Kuwait has officially announced public holidays for Eid al-Adha and the Day of Arafah.<\/p>
According to the announcement, employees working in ministries, government agencies and public sector institutions will receive a continuous six day holiday.<\/p>
The decision was approved during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah.<\/p>
As per the official schedule, Eid holidays will begin on Tuesday, May 26, and continue until Friday, May 29.<\/p>
Since Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, fall on regular weekend holidays, government employees in Kuwait will effectively receive six consecutive days off.<\/p>
Official work at government institutions is scheduled to resume on Monday, June 1.<\/p>
The Cabinet also clarified that emergency services and government institutions with special operational requirements may organise separate work schedules based on public interest and operational necessity.<\/p>
Authorities added that essential services will continue functioning during the holiday period to ensure uninterrupted public service and emergency response operations.<\/p>
The extended break is expected to increase travel activity and family gatherings across Kuwait during the Eid celebrations.<\/p>
