The full rollout is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2027.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said the upgrade is a key component of the authority&#8217;s digital transformation strategy and will create a unified payment ecosystem connecting various public transport services.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the new platform will improve operational efficiency, simplify travel and provide a more convenient experience for commuters while supporting Dubai&#8217;s vision of becoming a leading global smart city.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upgraded nol system is expected to offer greater flexibility, enhanced customer services and a smoother digital payment experience as part of the emirate&#8217;s wider smart mobility initiatives.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dubai: Dubai&#8217;s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed 72 per cent of the major upgrade of its nol payment system, bringing the emirate closer to a fully digital and cashless public transport network.
