Depending on the seriousness of the violation, vehicles may also be seized for up to\u00a0two months under Article 207.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The General Traffic Department urged motorists to strictly follow overtaking rules and avoid behavior that disrupts traffic flow or puts other road users at risk.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Latest Inspection Figures<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Interior Ministry also released figures from security and traffic inspections conducted between\u00a0August 16 and 22. During the week:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>162 people\u00a0wanted in various cases were arrested.<\/li>\n\n<li>86 residency-law violators\u00a0were detained.<\/li>\n\n<li>Five people suspected of drug use and seven people found in unusual circumstances were referred to the relevant authorities.<\/li>\n\n<li>1,932 traffic violations\u00a0were recorded.<\/li>\n\n<li>51 vehicles\u00a0were seized.<\/li>\n\n<li>10 wanted vehicles\u00a0linked to various incidents were recovered.<\/li>\n\n<li>Police responded to\u00a0131 road accidents.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities said strict inspections will continue across Kuwait as part of efforts to improve traffic safety, enforce traffic regulations and maintain public security.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kuwait\u2019s Ministry of Interior has warned motorists that serious traffic violations, including\u00a0illegal overtaking and deliberately obstructing traffic, could result in court proceedings and vehicle seizure.
