With the latest reduction, the total number of medicines and pharmaceutical products whose prices have been reduced in Kuwait over the past three years has reached\u00a02,760.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Health said the measures are aimed at ensuring that Kuwait maintains\u00a0competitive medicine prices among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancer and Other Essential Medicines Included<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newly reduced-price list covers medicines used to treat a range of serious and common health conditions. These include:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cancer medicines<\/li>\n\n<li>Modern cholesterol-lowering drugs<\/li>\n\n<li>Epilepsy medicines<\/li>\n\n<li>Allergy treatments<\/li>\n\n<li>Various painkillers<\/li>\n\n<li>Antibiotics<\/li>\n\n<li>Antifungal medicines<\/li>\n\n<li>Medicines that help people quit smoking<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ministry said the new prices were determined after reviewing scientific studies and comparing medicine prices in\u00a0international and regional markets.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim is to make essential medicines more affordable for patients without compromising their\u00a0quality or effectiveness.
