Rajinikanth\u2019s much-awaited \u2018Jailer 2\u2019 is set to hit theatres on October 15, with production house Sun Pictures confirming the release date and putting an end to recent speculation over a possible delay.<\/p>
The announcement means the highly anticipated sequel will arrive during the Dussehra festive period. Sun Pictures confirmed the date in a post on X, announcing that \u2018Jailer 2\u2019 will release on October 15.<\/p>
Directed by Nelson, the film will see Rajinikanth return as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the character he played in the 2023 blockbuster \u2018Jailer\u2019. The first film became one of the biggest Tamil hits of the year and was a major commercial success.<\/p>
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and actor Vinayakan are also returning for the sequel in their respective roles from the first film. Their presence has added to the anticipation surrounding the film, particularly among audiences in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.<\/p>
Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the music for the original and delivered popular tracks including \u2018Hukum\u2019, returns as the composer. The sequel marks another collaboration between Anirudh and Nelson following their work on \u2018Jailer\u2019.<\/p>
