{"id":5699,"date":"2026-10-05T10:18:30","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T10:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/colorsnewslive.com\/en\/?p=5699"},"modified":"2026-10-05T10:18:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T10:18:32","slug":"kuwait-issues-six-decrees-withdrawing-citizenship-from-415-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/colorsnewslive.com\/en\/2026\/10\/05\/kuwait-issues-six-decrees-withdrawing-citizenship-from-415-people\/","title":{"rendered":"Kuwait issues six decrees withdrawing citizenship from 415 people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KUWAIT CITY:<\/strong> Kuwait has revoked or withdrawn the citizenship of 415 individuals through six decrees published in the country\u2019s official gazette, Kuwait Alyawm.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decrees include cases involving individuals who had acquired Kuwaiti citizenship through dependency on the citizenship holders covered by the decisions.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Decree No. 155 of 2026, Kuwaiti citizenship certificates were revoked from six individuals, including people who had acquired citizenship through dependency on them.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Decree No. 156 of 2026 revoked the citizenship of 286 individuals, including those who had acquired citizenship through dependency.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Decree No. 157 of 2026, the Kuwaiti citizenship of 14 women was revoked.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Decree No. 158 of 2026 withdrew citizenship from 25 individuals, including people who had acquired citizenship through dependency on them.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Decree No. 159 of 2026 revoked the citizenship of 41 individuals, including those who had acquired citizenship through dependency.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Decree No. 160 of 2026 stipulated the withdrawal of Kuwaiti citizenship from 43 individuals, along with those who had acquired citizenship through dependency.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decrees stated that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior is responsible for implementing the decisions.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The citizenship decisions took effect from the date of their issuance and publication in Kuwait Alyawm, the country\u2019s official gazette.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait has revoked or withdrawn the citizenship of 415 individuals through six decrees published in the country\u2019s official gazette, Kuwait Alyawm.
