Customs officials at Kuwait International Airport have arrested a Beninese domestic worker for attempting to smuggle psychotropic drugs into the country. The woman, arriving from Addis Ababa, was intercepted at Terminal 1 after arousing suspicion during a routine inspection.
A search revealed approximately 3,458 tablets of the controlled narcotic Tafrodol, concealed inside body powder containers. The contraband was seized, and the suspect has been referred to the General Administration for Drug and Alcohol Control for further legal action. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to tightening border security and combating drug trafficking.
