The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has accredited five specialized centers to train operators of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), advancing the nation’s drone economy. The approved centers will provide locally certified training for roles in drone delivery, inspections, security, and emergency services.
The accreditation is expected to create new career paths, including opportunities for drone pilots, operations managers, and data analysts. Officials state the move underscores the commitment to high safety standards and national capability development, aiming to boost efficiency, enable new services, and generate business revenue.
