Kuwait Education Ministry Suspends Seven Teachers Over Violations

Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has taken strict disciplinary action to uphold standards and ethics in the education sector, suspending seven teachers pending investigation. The decision was issued under the direct instructions of Education Minister Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, with the teachers suspended for three months over serious violations deemed incompatible with the integrity of the profession.

Among those suspended are three teachers accused of sharing copies of new textbooks through electronic platforms before official approval, which authorities described as a breach of regulations and professional conduct. Two other teachers were suspended for behaviour on school premises considered inappropriate and against public decency, with the ministry stressing that educators must serve as role models for students.

In a more serious case, two teachers were found to have physically mistreated students, violating laws that protect students’ physical and psychological safety. The ministry noted that such incidents are isolated and that the majority of teachers continue to work with dedication.

Officials warned that strict action will continue against anyone found violating regulations, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to maintaining discipline and protecting the reputation of the education sector.
