Kuwait’s traffic police arrested 18 expatriates during intensive inspections carried out across several governorates as part of efforts to strengthen national security. The detainees, from Arab and Asian backgrounds, were found to be in violation of residency and labour laws during a 24-hour inspection campaign. The operation forms part of a wider security drive by the Ministry of Interior to identify and act against violators. Those arrested have been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
In a separate incident, traffic police in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate arrested a Kuwaiti citizen for reckless and dangerous driving. Officers on patrol spotted the motorist violating traffic rules and endangering public safety. The vehicle was impounded and legal procedures were initiated.
Security officials said strict action will continue against all forms of violations that threaten public safety and order.
