The Ministry of Social Affairs has reportedly issued a circular prohibiting the distribution of Iftar meals outside mosques. The directive applies to all registered charitable societies and foundations across the country.
According to reports, the decision was taken in light of current regional developments and as a precautionary measure to avoid large public gatherings. Only Iftar meals served inside mosques, in compliance with necessary security procedures, will be permitted.
The ministry, through the department overseeing charitable societies and foundations, has instructed board chairpersons of registered charities to strictly adhere to the directive. Authorities emphasized that the measure aims to safeguard public safety while ensuring religious observances continue within regulated environments.
