Trump Claims Victory in Iran Conflict as War Continues

US President Donald Trump has said the United States and its coalition partners have achieved what he described as a decisive military advantage against Iran, even as uncertainty remains over how long the conflict may continue.

Speaking while returning to Miami after attending a ceremony honouring fallen American soldiers, Trump claimed that Iran’s military capabilities and key state institutions are currently in a weakened state following days of military operations.

The president said deploying US ground troops inside Iran is not currently under consideration, but he did not rule out the possibility in the future. When asked whether the US might send forces to secure uranium stockpiles at Iranian nuclear facilities, Trump suggested that such an option could be considered later.

The military campaign, referred to by US officials as “Operation Epic Fury,” has now entered its eighth day, with tensions across the region remaining high.

Trump also criticised Keir Starmer for what he described as a lack of immediate support for US actions during the early stages of the conflict.

At the same time, the president denied allegations that the United States was responsible for a deadly strike on a school in Iran that reportedly killed hundreds of children. Trump said the attack was caused by Iranian missiles rather than US operations.

Despite the continuing uncertainty surrounding the duration of the war, officials at the White House maintain that the campaign will ultimately end in victory for the United States and its allies.
