Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity Water and Renewable Energy has announced that five out of six overhead electricity lines damaged by falling missile debris have been restored and returned to service.
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Fatima Abbas Johar Hayat, said repair work on two additional lines damaged during the incident on March 12 has now been completed, bringing the total number of restored lines to five.
She explained that specialised technical teams carried out the repair operations in accordance with high technical standards and approved safety procedures.
The work was completed as part of the ministry’s emergency response plan, with ongoing field monitoring and technical inspections continuing to ensure the safety and stability of the national power grid.
The spokesperson praised the efforts of national teams of engineers, technicians and workers who worked to restore the damaged infrastructure quickly.
Officials added that Kuwait’s electricity system remains stable and operational, and the ministry will continue its efforts to ensure energy security and uninterrupted service across the country.
