Saudi Arabia has initiated a move to localize 30% of engineering jobs within the private sector. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that the aim is to employ more Saudi nationals in engineering positions.
The mandate applies to all establishments employing five or more engineers. A key condition requires that a Saudi engineer be paid a minimum monthly salary of 8,000 Saudi Riyals.
