The latest Henley Passport Index has revealed the world’s weakest passports for 2026, with Afghanistan once again ranking last. Afghan passport holders can access only 24 destinations without a prior visa. At the other end of the spectrum, Singapore retained its top position, offering visa-free access to 192 destinations.
The announcement comes as the International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts record global travel in 2026. Industry leaders note that while more people have the economic means to travel, the disparity in passport strength continues to create significant barriers to global mobility for many nationalities.
