Omani Consumer Authority Recalls Portable Chargers Over Fire Risk

Oman’s Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has withdrawn a specific model of portable battery charger from the market due to safety risks. The affected product is the Xiaomi 33W 20000mAh (Integrated Cable) Portable Charger, model PB2030MI, which may overheat and pose a fire hazard.

The authority has advised consumers to check the manufacturer’s official website to verify if their device is part of the recalled batch. Those with affected units should immediately stop using them, return the charger for a full refund, and contact the company. The CPA is working to remove these products from the market and urged consumers to ensure any purchases, especially from online platforms, meet approved safety standards.
