Kuwait is stepping up efforts to verify educational qualifications and equivalency certificates of employees in both government and private sectors. A special committee overseeing the process has scheduled a guidance meeting for officials this Wednesday, with representatives from ministries, public institutions, and state-owned companies set to attend.
The verification drive will apply to both Kuwaiti nationals and expatriate workers. Formed late last year, the committee aims to ensure the authenticity of all employee certificates across the country. During the session, officials will be briefed on procedures and technical requirements for obtaining equivalency certificates from the Ministry of Higher Education. The meeting is intended to provide clarity for department heads and senior administrators responsible for implementing the checks.
The move is part of a broader government initiative to curb the use of fake certificates and ensure that only qualified individuals hold positions. Authorities will also outline ways to resolve any practical challenges faced during the verification process.
