The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has launched major infrastructure projects worth Dh750 million aimed at improving road networks and reducing congestion across the country. Officials said the upgrades form part of broader plans to enhance quality of life and support economic growth.
A key project involves the renovation and expansion of Emirates Road, including the construction of six directional bridges and widening of major stretches. Once completed, travel time along the corridor is expected to drop by around 45 percent. The road will also be expanded from three lanes to five in some sections to improve traffic flow and facilitate the movement of goods.
Authorities said the projects are being implemented with a focus on sustainable development and are designed to meet the needs of the UAE’s growing population while strengthening national infrastructure efficiency.
