Kuwait City: Kuwait has announced a sharp increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices, particularly for propane and butane, with the new rates taking effect from April 1.
According to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, the price of propane will rise to $750 per metric ton, while butane will increase to $800 per metric ton for April.
Currently, propane is priced at $540 per metric ton and butane at $545, marking a significant jump in rates.
Officials said LPG prices are adjusted based on global oil market trends and supply-demand dynamics.
