Dubai: Dubai has introduced a wide range of transportation benefits aimed at improving quality of life and reducing financial pressure on families across the emirate.
The initiative, launched under the “Family First” project, follows an agreement between the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority and the Ministry of Family Affairs as part of the National Family Growth Agenda 2031.
Under the new measures, senior Emirati citizens will be fully exempt from Salik toll fees and parking charges. Students and residents will benefit from discounted fares on public transport, including metro and bus services.
Additional concessions have been introduced for people of determination, further supporting accessibility and affordability.
The package also includes reduced costs for vehicle registration and renewal, along with a 50 percent discount on taxi driver licensing fees.
Officials said the initiative is designed to ease financial burdens and create a more inclusive and people-focused transport system in Dubai.
