Eid Al Fitr in Kuwait is expected to fall on March 20, 2026, according to astronomical calculations released by the Al Ojairi Scientific Center.
The center said that the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal is unlikely to be visible on the evening of Wednesday, March 18. Astronomical calculations indicate that the moon will set before sunset on that day, making moon sighting impossible.
Based on these projections, the holy month of Ramadan is expected to complete 30 days. As a result, March 19 would likely be the final day of Ramadan, with Eid al Fitr beginning on Friday, March 20.
However, the center noted that the official announcement of Islamic months will be made by the country’s relevant authorities in accordance with Sharia procedures after the formal moon sighting process.
