Jazeera Airways Shifts Flights to Saudi Airport After Kuwait Airspace Closure

Jazeera Airways has announced that its flight operations will temporarily operate through Qaisumah Airport in Hafr Al Batin after Kuwait’s airspace was temporarily closed.

The airline said the decision was taken to help passengers continue their journeys despite the suspension of services at Kuwait International Airport amid the current regional situation.

Chief Executive Officer Barathan Pasupathi told Kuwait News Agency that the move is intended to assist travellers who are either leaving Kuwait or trying to return to the country.

Many passengers remain stranded in different countries due to the suspension of flights from Kuwait International Airport, while residents in Kuwait are also facing difficulties returning to their home countries.

Qaisumah Airport is located about two and a half hours by road from Kuwait. Travellers arriving there can reach Kuwait by road, while passengers departing from Kuwait can travel to the airport by land to board Jazeera Airways flights. However, passengers must hold a valid visa to enter Saudi Arabia.

The airline said it has activated an emergency plan and is operating around the clock to ensure passenger safety and travel continuity. The company is also considering launching bus services to Qaisumah Airport to assist travellers.

Jazeera Airways added that further updates regarding flight schedules, bookings and travel arrangements will be announced through its official channels.
