Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that Eid prayers will be held only in mosques where Friday (Jumu’ah) prayers are conducted across the country.
The ministry confirmed that the Eid prayer is scheduled for 6:08 am, with slight variations possible depending on location.
According to the official statement, prayers will not be held in open grounds or Eidgahs adjacent to mosques this year. The decision has been taken in light of current conditions and security considerations.
The ministry’s Undersecretary, Engineer Sulaiman Al Suwailem, has issued instructions to mosque directors across all governorates to implement the directive.
Special prayers will also be offered during Eid for the safety and security of Kuwait, the wellbeing of the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and in remembrance of those who lost their lives in service to the nation.
Authorities emphasised the importance of adhering to official guidelines to ensure safety during the Eid gatherings.
