Kia has unveiled the PV7, its second fully electric model in the company’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup, at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany.
Built on Kia’s PBV-dedicated E-GMP.S architecture, the PV7 will be offered in Cargo and Passenger variants, with market launches planned for South Korea and Europe in 2027. The lineup is expected to expand to 23 variants.
The PV7 expands Kia’s PBV portfolio into the light commercial vehicle segment and is designed for a range of applications, including fleet and logistics operations, shuttle services, small and medium-sized businesses and personal mobility.
“The PV7 marks the next step in our journey toward personalized mobility, building on the foundation established by the PV5,” said Ho Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia. He said the vehicle combines application-specific hardware, business-focused software and dedicated PBV services to provide customers with greater productivity and flexibility.
The PV7’s E-GMP.S platform features 800V fast charging, long-range capability and a scalable drivetrain lineup. Its flat-floor design is intended to maximize interior space and versatility, while its upright proportions and user-focused features are designed to improve accessibility and everyday usability.
Kia’s Flexible Body System provides a modular architecture that allows the PV7 to support different body styles, derivatives and conversion models based on customer and operational requirements.
Two versions will be available at launch. The PV7 Passenger is designed with adaptable seating and long-distance comfort in mind, while the PV7 Cargo focuses on load capacity, a low loading height and commercial utility.
Kia is also integrating connected digital services into the vehicle. Its Business Solutions Portal provides tools covering fleet management, charging, maintenance and daily operations. Fleet Management System tools and connected vehicle data APIs can be tailored to individual customer requirements.
The company’s dedicated Uptime services provide real-time vehicle monitoring, predictive diagnostics and proactive maintenance. Kia says the system is designed to reduce operational disruptions, lower total cost of ownership and maximize vehicle availability.
The PV7 is being presented alongside Kia’s broader PBV lineup at IAA Transportation 2026, which runs in Hannover from September 15 to 20.
Following its planned 2027 launch, Kia will expand the PV7 range to 23 variants. The larger PV9 is scheduled to join the PBV lineup in 2029.
