TAX REVENUE FOR NEXT FINANCIAL YEAR IS 565 MILLION DINARS IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City:  The Ministry of Finance has said that the country will receive 565 million dinars in the next financial year due to the increased taxes. The tax on income, profits and capital gains has been increased by 21 per cent. The country's tax revenue is expected to grow by about seven per cent between 2022-2023. That is, tax revenue would increase by 39 million dinars to 565 million dinars.


The tax revenue for the current financial year was 526.1 million dinars. The main reason for the increase was a 21 per cent increase in income, profits and capital gains taxes, valued at between 27 million dinars and 158 million dinars. It received 131 million dinars this financial year. Taxes on international trade and transactions rose by about 10 million dinars to 389 million dinars. This financial year it was 379 million dinars.
