Chandrayaan-3: ISRO attempts to revive contact with Moon lander

  • 23/09/2023

India's space agency ISRO has announced that it is attempting to contact its Lunar Module and Rover as the first lunar day approaches, however, no communication has been received thus far. The Moon lander, accompanied by the rover, arrived at the Moon's southernmost pole in August, where they spent two weeks collecting data and images.

At the end of the second lunar nightfall, they were placed in 'sleep mode', with Isro hoping that the batteries would be recharged and that the modules would wake up when the sun rose on September 22nd.
