Exam Season Begins: SSLC and Higher Secondary Students Set to Face Tests from Today

The SSLC, Higher Secondary, and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations in Kerala commence today, with students across the state gearing up for this crucial academic phase. Additionally, the first-year Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exams are scheduled to begin on Thursday, along with the Supplementary and Improvement exams for students retaking subjects. Those who have already completed their second-year exams can also appear for Supplementary/Improvement tests.

Students must ensure they reach the examination center on time. The SSLC exams will begin at 9:00 AM, while the second-year Higher Secondary and Vocational exams are set for 1:30 PM. Essential items such as hall tickets, pens, and pencils should not be forgotten. Given the intense summer heat, carrying drinking water is highly recommended to stay hydrated during the exams.

There are 2,964 exam centers across Kerala, with additional centers in Lakshadweep and Galle. A total of 4,27,021 students are appearing in the regular category, including 2,17,696 boys and 2,09,325 girls. The student distribution includes 1,42,298 from government schools, 2,55,092 from aided institutions, and 29,631 from unaided schools. Additionally, 682 students from Gulf countries and 447 from Lakshadweep are also participating in the exams.
