Oman has secured the leading position in Asia and the Middle East in the 2025 Global Quality of Life Index released by Numbeo. The Sultanate scored 215.1 points in the mid-year report, placing it ahead of regional peers. Qatar followed in second place with 189.4 points, while the UAE (174.2) and Saudi Arabia (173.7) occupied subsequent positions in the Gulf Cooperation Council and Middle East rankings.

Unlike traditional indices relying solely on official statistics, Numbeo's evaluation incorporates user-generated data and resident assessments, making it the largest global database measuring public participation in quality-of-life evaluations. The index considers various living conditions across cities and countries worldwide, emphasizing personal experiences and citizen feedback alongside statistical measurements.
