Kuwait has officially authorized 76 designated personnel to monitor and enforce compliance with the country's security camera regulations. Under Ministerial Resolution No. 2319 of 2025, these authorized inspectors from human resources and information technology departments now hold the legal power to enter and inspect facilities for violations of Law No. 61 of 2015, which governs the installation and use of surveillance cameras and monitoring devices.
The newly empowered officials can document infractions, seize relevant materials, issue violation reports, and refer cases to investigative authorities. This amendment to previous regulations strengthens enforcement mechanisms and clarifies inspection protocols for security camera compliance across various establishments in Kuwait. The resolution took immediate effect upon issuance.
