Kuwait Arrests Citizen for Alleged Terror Plot Targeting Places of Worship

  • 25/11/2025

Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of a citizen belonging to a banned terrorist organization that was plotting to undermine national security. According to investigations, the suspect received directives from group leaders to manufacture explosives and conduct operations targeting places of worship.

The individual was also actively recruiting young Kuwaitis through social media platforms and online gaming communities, spreading extremist ideology to attract members for terrorist organizations. This arrest represents the latest in a series of security operations, following recent apprehensions of an Arab resident found with explosive manufacturing materials in September and a financing network linked to a banned party in October 2025.

Authorities emphasized their ongoing vigilance against all threats to national security, warning that anyone attempting to compromise Kuwait's stability will face legal consequences. Security services continue round-the-clock operations to maintain public safety and uphold the rule of law.
