Dubai Police is establishing an advanced forensic science complex worth 525 million dirhams, scheduled for completion next year. The facility will introduce cutting-edge virtual autopsy technology capable of examining bodies within minutes, alongside specialized units for forensic dentistry, entomology, and genomics.
According to Major General Dr. Ahmed Thani bin Galita, Director of the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology, the complex represents a significant evolution from the original two-room facility to what will become one of the world's most sophisticated crime scene analysis centers. The institution will feature AI-powered medical theaters and advanced forensic technologies, positioning Dubai as a global leader in forensic innovation and criminal investigation capabilities.
