The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced the successful resumption of operations for several Arab and international airlines through Terminal 1 (T1) at Kuwait International Airport.
According to the DGCA, the reopening forms part of a phased operational plan aimed at gradually restoring full services at Terminal 1. Authorities said flight operations were carried out smoothly and without any major disruptions.
The aviation authority credited the successful implementation to extensive preparations and close coordination among airport operators, airlines and service providers. Officials noted that passenger services continued without interruption throughout the process.
The DGCA praised the efforts of all airport stakeholders, highlighting the strong cooperation and operational efficiency demonstrated during the restart of terminal activities.
As part of the next phase of the reopening plan, the authority expects the number of airlines and flights operating through Terminal 1 to increase steadily in the coming weeks. The gradual expansion is expected to continue until the terminal reaches full operational capacity.
Officials said the move will enhance airport efficiency, improve passenger flow and support the growing demand for air travel through Kuwait International Airport.
The expansion of Terminal 1 operations is also expected to provide travellers with a smoother airport experience while strengthening Kuwait’s aviation infrastructure and connectivity.
The DGCA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high service standards and ensuring safe and efficient operations as more airlines resume services from the terminal.
