Kuwait tightens warning on drone use and aerial photography

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has issued a fresh warning reminding the public that restrictions remain in place on operating drones and conducting aerial photography without official approval.

The ministry said using drones without authorization, including for personal purposes or for taking photographs and videos, is considered a violation of applicable regulations. Individuals intending to operate drones are required to comply with the current restrictions and obtain the necessary official approval.

Authorities said the restrictions are aimed at protecting aviation and public safety. Unauthorized drone activity can create challenges for security and monitoring systems, making compliance with the regulations essential.

The Interior Ministry urged drone users to familiarize themselves with the latest requirements and official instructions before operating the devices.

Residents and visitors planning to use drones in Kuwait have been advised to check the applicable laws and obtain the required authorization before carrying out any drone-related activity.
