Doha: The Emiri Diwan has declared a public holiday for Qatar National Day, creating a four-day weekend from Sunday, December 17, to Monday, December 18. Regular work will resume on Tuesday, December 19, after the extended holiday.
The National Day parade, a centerpiece of the celebrations, has been canceled despite ongoing preparations at Doha Corniche. No official reason for the cancellation has been provided. However, other National Day programs, such as those at Darb Al Sa’i in Um Salal, will proceed as planned.
