Philippine Passport Climbs Global Rankings, Expands Visa-Free Access

The Philippine passport has risen to 66th place in the latest global mobility rankings, improving by two spots since January 2026. The upgrade reflects steady gains in international travel access for Filipino citizens.

Passport holders can now travel to 77 destinations without obtaining a traditional visa in advance. Of these, 36 countries allow visa-free entry, 38 offer visas on arrival and three require an electronic travel authorisation.

The latest improvement signals a recovery in mobility scores in recent years, with stronger access across parts of Southeast Asia, South America and Africa. While still below its peak levels, the current ranking highlights gradual progress in global travel freedom for Filipinos.
