Kuwait’s traffic authorities have intensified inspections across the country as part of a strict campaign against reckless driving and rule violations. Officials said there will be zero tolerance for offenders as part of efforts to improve road safety and discipline.
During a nationwide enforcement drive, authorities recorded 319 traffic violations and seized 80 vehicles and motorcycles involved in various offences. Ten minors caught driving without licences were referred to juvenile prosecution, while 44 individuals accused of serious violations were placed in precautionary detention.
Police also arrested seven wanted persons and located three vehicles linked to ongoing cases. One individual found without valid identification was referred to relevant authorities for further action.
The Traffic Department urged the public to cooperate in improving road safety and to report violations through the emergency hotline 112, WhatsApp number 99324092 or the official “Contact” platform.
