Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has announced strict safety rules ahead of the 2026 National Day celebrations, warning against activities that disrupt traffic or public order. The directives were issued during a high-level security review meeting chaired by senior officials.
Authorities said water guns will be strictly banned during celebrations, and any activities that block roads or hinder traffic will not be allowed. Drivers have also been advised not to install large flags on vehicles in ways that obstruct visibility. Security personnel will be deployed across celebration venues to closely monitor the situation and ensure public safety.
Officials stressed that strict action will be taken against violations, while also ensuring assistance for elderly people and persons with disabilities during security checks. The ministry said all agencies will coordinate to maintain Kuwait’s cultural image and ensure safe, orderly celebrations.
