Kuwait’s Prime Minister, Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, visited the country’s medical supplies and drug warehouses to personally assess the health sector’s preparedness. He was accompanied by Health Minister Ahmad Al-Awadhi.
The visit aimed to ensure that Kuwait maintains sufficient strategic reserves of medicines and medical equipment to handle any emergency situation. Officials briefed the Prime Minister on stock levels, supply chain mechanisms and advanced monitoring systems in place to track inventory and distribution.
Authorities explained that the warehouses follow high international storage standards to safeguard the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products. The Prime Minister also reviewed contingency plans designed to guarantee uninterrupted availability of essential medicines for citizens and residents.
He expressed satisfaction with the measures being implemented to strengthen the efficiency and sustainability of the national healthcare system. The Prime Minister directed officials to ensure that medical services remain accessible to the public under all circumstances.
The visit is seen as a key step in reinforcing Kuwait’s health security framework amid ongoing regional developments.
