Kuwait to Close Lanes on Maghreb Expressway for One Month

Kuwait City: Kuwait’s General Directorate of Traffic has announced temporary traffic restrictions for motorists travelling from Kuwait City to Ahmadi as part of ongoing road improvement works.

The right and middle lanes of the Maghreb Expressway will be closed for one month starting Sunday, July 26, to facilitate the road maintenance project.

Authorities also said the exit from First Ring Road to Maghreb Road and the exit from Maghreb Road to Second Ring Road will remain temporarily closed during the construction period.

The Traffic Department has urged motorists to use alternative routes to avoid congestion and strictly follow traffic signs and directions at the work site.

Officials said the temporary closures are intended to ensure the road upgrade project is completed safely and efficiently while minimising disruption to road users.
