Electricity and Water Should Not Be Wasted: Kuwait Ministry Issues Guidelines to Reduce Consumption

The Kuwait Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has introduced guidelines to reduce consumption by using electricity and water more efficiently in homes and workplaces. The ministry also reminded the public of the importance of using resources responsibly to conserve national resources and achieve sustainable development goals. Practical ways to reduce the waste of electricity and water were explained during an awareness seminar titled “Conserve for Sustainability,” organized at the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) headquarters.

Several officials and employees, including Nazaha Chairperson Dr. Rana Al-Fares, attended the event. The seminar detailed easily implementable daily habits for electricity and water conservation in homes and offices, as well as the contribution each individual can make toward national resource conservation and environmental protection by reducing energy consumption. The ministry stated that such awareness initiatives promoting responsible resource usage will further strengthen the country’s sustainable development plans.
