Fresh Wave of Rain and Hail Expected Across UAE

Abu Dhabi: A fresh wave of rainfall is expected to affect the UAE in the coming hours, with showers moving in from Al Dhafra and the Arabian Gulf, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The unstable weather is likely to continue until the end of the week, bringing partly cloudy to overcast skies and the formation of convective clouds that may produce rainfall of varying intensity across the country. Some areas could also experience hail.

Winds will be light to moderate but may strengthen at times, especially during cloud activity, leading to blowing dust and reduced visibility in certain areas.

Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate but may turn rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman due to active weather systems.

On Wednesday, rainfall is expected intermittently across scattered areas, with a focus on eastern regions and Al Ain during the night before easing later. Temperatures will gradually rise during the day, while wind speeds could reach up to 50 km/h.

Similar conditions are forecast for Thursday, with limited rain early in the day before increasing in the afternoon and evening over northern and eastern areas and Al Ain. Rain may continue overnight, extending to coastal, island, and western regions, accompanied by active winds and dust.

Authorities have advised motorists to drive carefully and urged the public to follow official safety guidelines during the unstable weather.
